Diploma IAG Project

A collection of project folders

UCAS has recently received funding from the Department for Education (DFE) for two, year-long projects which hope to improve the experiences of level 3, 14-19 Diploma learners when applying to higher education.

The Diploma IAG project is led by Joanna Wilkins. Joanna is UCAS' Diploma Tracking Data Officer. Her role is to analyse and explore applications made by level 3, 14-19 Diploma learners to achieve two key outcomes.

These are:

  • to identify where gaps exist in information, advice and support for 14-19 Diploma students when accessing higher education, and recommend strategies to combat these
  • to recommend changes to UCAS systems to improve the experience of applying to higher education for these students.

Joanna hopes that this work will instigate improvements to the application process, and applying to higher education will be enhanced for 14-19 Diploma students in the future.

You could help Joanna in her work. If you or schools or colleges within your local area have helped 14-19 Diploma students apply to higher education this year, Joanna would very much like to hear from you.
